Automation Anywhere Raises $300M from SoftBank Vision Fund

automation anywhereAutomation Anywhere, a San Jose, CA-based leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), raised $300m from the SoftBank Vision Fund.

The funding, subject to regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions, is an expansion to the company’s Series A round announced in July, bringing the financing to over $500m.

The company intends to use the funds to cntinue to expand its business reach.

Led by Mihir Shukla, CEO and Co-Founder, and Clyde Hosein, Chief Financial Officer, Automation Anywhere provides technology solutions that enable companies to automate routine tasks in the workplace, increasing productivity and enabling people to focus on more challenging and fulfilling work.
Beyond its foundational Enterprise RPA platform, the company provides an AI product, IQ Bot™, and Bot Insight™, a predictive analytics capability embedded into bots.
Over 1,400 financial services, insurance, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, telecom and logistics companies globally use the company’s AI-enabled solution to manage and scale business processes.

Automation Anywhere also operates a Bot Store, an app store-like marketplace of downloadable bot applications that are designed by the company and its partner ecosystem to meet specific automation requirements for common business processes.
It has been visited by more than 65,000 users since its launch in March 2018.
