Alcide, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based provider of cloud-native security platform, secured $7m in Series A funding.
Backers included CE Ventures, Intel Capital and Elron. In conjunction with the funding, Ben Weiss, a partner at CE Ventures, will join Alcide’s board.
The company intends to use the funds for expansion into the US and EMEA markets, new hires and channels that will support business development.
Led by Ranny Nachmias, CEO and co-founder, Alcide provides a cloud-native security platform enabling a single view into distributed and cloud-native environments, while the Microservices Firewall allows application-aware security controls for cloud infrastructure, workloads and external service mesh against different attack scenarios, including malicious internal activity, lateral movement and data exfiltration.
