Airspace Technologies, a Carlsbad, Calif.-based company digitizing air cargo and time-critical logistics, raised $20m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Scale Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Qualcomm Ventures, Defy.vc, Cross Culture Ventures and Schematic Ventures. As part of the round, Stacey Bishop, partner at Scale Venture Partners, is joining the Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand globally and accelerate its delivery network and enterprise software platform.
Founded in 2015 by Chief Executive Officer Nick Bulcao, Airspace Technologies provides time-definite delivery and supply chain services. The tech platform provides businesses with automated quoting, routing and real-time notifications for their most important shipments. In addition, the company’s global contractor network allows companies to connect directly with drivers (called “commanders”), speeding up time to delivery, creating transparency and reducing total cost.
Over 100 companies, including LabCorp, FedEx and Frontier Airlines, use Airspace’s proprietary algorithms and datasets to deliver shipments fast with real-time tracking for transparency.
