Thunder Experience Cloud Secures $6M in Funding

thunderThunder Experience Cloud, a San Francisco, CA-based people-based ad serving platform, closed a $6m funding round.

The backers were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to enhance its platform and grow its partner network.

Led by Victor Wong, CEO, Thunder provides a platform that allows advertisers to create, personalize, optimize and measure ad experiences across channels.
Through the system, consumers maintain privacy, publishers safeguard data, and brands gain transparency.

In addition, Thunder has appointed two executives:
– Marco Matos as Head of Product, and
– Jack Hallahan as VP of Strategic Partnerships.

Matos has spent over 11 years in product development, overseeing projects launched across Microsoft, Google and Facebook, particularly specializing in brand and cross channel measurement and understanding user consumption. He will oversee Thunder’s engineering team and overall product roadmap.

Hallahan brings expertise in strategy, branding, social, programmatic and rich media to his new role as VP Strategic Partnerships. Previously, he was vice president of partnerships at Celtra, a late stage venture-backed Creative Management Platform. He will be responsible for overseeing partnerships while heading up revenue responsibilities for Thunder’s sales and account management teams.
