Shoulder Innovations Closes $2.5M Series A Funding

shoulder_innovationsShoulder Innovations, a Holland, Mich.-based developer of shoulder replacement systems, closed a $2.5m Series A equity funding.

The round was led by Michigan Angel Fund, Wakestream Ventures, Genesis Innovation Group, cultivate(MD) and other equity holders.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate new product development and to acquire inventory and assets to accelerate growth of its current Inset platform technology.

Led by Rob Ball, Executive Chairman, Shoulder Innovations is a medical device development company which designs and commercializes innovative products for improved patient care and reduced overall cost to the healthcare system.
Leveraging its patented, inset glenoid design, the company is commercializing a shoulder replacement implant system focused on improving outcomes related to glenoid loosening.
