Innovative Micro Technology, Inc., a Santa Barbara, CA-based designer and manufacturer of Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS), received a majority equity financing of undisclosed amount.
The investment was led by Cerium Technology.
The company intends to use the funds to increase R&D investments in its standard process platforms, upgrade existing equipment, and complete the installation of its new 8” (200mm) wafer fabrication line.
Led by Craig Ensley, CEO, Innovative Micro Technology designs and manufactures Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) for sensing and communications applications. Its experience spans the full spectrum of MEMS, including optics & fiber communications, sensors, relays & RF switches, and microfluidics biomedical devices.
The company serves customers from its 30,000 square foot class 100 wafer fabrication facility in Santa Barbara, supported by a staff of over 100 MEMS experts.
