Zencargo, a London, UK-based digital freight forwarder, raised a seed plus round.
The round, which was led by LocalGlobe, with participation from Samos Investments and Picus Capital, brought total funds raised to date to over $4m.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its product development process and build a presence in China with a new office.
Founded in 2017 by Alex Hersham, CEO, Richard Fattal, Chief Commercial Officer, and Jan Reithmeyer, CTO, Zencargo is a digital freight forwarder whose platform enables teams to work collaboratively, in real-time with instant visibility over the end-to-end supply chain. The company works with fast growing businesses such as wearable technology company Catapult and mattress-in-a-box brand Simba to manage global procurement and develop business insights to streamline their operations.
Zencargo, which has offices in Manchester, Felixstowe and Geneva, recently launched Virtual Local Offices to gain visibility during production around the world.
