Ribbit Capital to Raise $420M Fifth Fintech Fund

fintechRibbit Capital, a Palo Alto, CA-based financial services investor, is to raise its fifth fund. 

Per an SEC filing, the target size of Ribbit Capital V, L.P., is $420m.

No funds have been raised, yet.

Founded in 2012 by Meyer “Micky” Malka and also led by GP Nick Shalek, Ribbit is a venture capital firm investing in ground-breaking fintech companies globally, mainly in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Africa and Turkey. Investments include Credit Karma, Wealthfront, Coinbase, Funding Circle, Invoice2Go,ContaAzul, PolicyBazaar, Robinhood, and many others.

In the past, institutional investors included Spanish banking group Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentina SA, Silicon Valley Bank and numerous high-net-worth individuals.
