Open Source Security Company Snyk Raises $22M in Series B

snykSnyk, a London, UK-based provider of an open source security platform, raised $22M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Accel, with participation from GV and our existing investors Boldstart Ventures, Heavybit and others.

The company intends to use the funds to support rapid growth and expand its developer-first offering.

Co-founded by Guy Podjarny, CEO, Danny Grander, Security, and Assaf Hefetz, CTO, Snyk provides a platform for developers to find, fix and monitor for vulnerable libraries.
Over 160,000 developers use Snyk protecting over 140,000 repositories on source code management platforms such as GitHub, Bitbucket and GitLab.

The company now plans to further scale the business across ecosystems, including deepening support for current languages and adding new ones, customer dedication – at scale, define and grow the new category of runtime open source security and grow the Secure Developer community.
