TaskUs, a Santa Monica, CA-based customer service and business process outsourcing services provider for high-growth technology companies, received an investment from Blackstone (NYSE:BX).
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The partnership, which valued TaskUs at more than $500m before funding, will allow the company to increase investment in consulting, technology and innovation to support customers’ efforts to streamline and refine their customer experience, to scale globally with new investments in Europe, India and Latin America and continued expansion in the countries where it operates today – the United States, the Philippines, Mexico and Taiwan.
Founded in 2008 by Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir, TaskUs provides business process solutions, which leverage the latest technology, including AI, advanced Learning Management Systems and big data, to allow companies to quickly scale.
Following the investment, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, the company will continue to be led by Mr. Maddock, Mr. Weir, and the existing management team.
