Akkroo, a London, UK-based event tech company, raised £1.75m (approx. $2.3m) in Series A funding.
The round by Conviction Investment Partners (CIP), with participation from previous private investors.
The company will use the funds to increase its marketing activities and expand its US operations.
Formally launched in 2013 as a spin-out from RMP Enterprise by Chris Wickson, CEO, and Andy Higgs, Akkroo provides a SaaS-enabled, universal Event Lead Capture solution built for B2B organizations that regularly exhibit at trade shows and exhibitions to enable their sales and marketing teams to create bespoke data-gathering tools, that function across iOS and Android mobile devices and tablets, which assist the capture and process of sales leads from events.
These tools capture detailed GDPR-compliant data from new leads in real-time, via business card transcription functionality and badge scanner integrations. The solution, which already has a global customer base across a wide range of verticals, including the likes of IBM, Sony, Getinge AB and PayPal, integrates with all major CRM and Marketing Automation platforms, allowing users to instantly and accurately transfer event qualified leads into existing sales and marketing workflows.
