Cloud Security Company Lacework Closes $24M Series B

LaceworkLacework, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of a solution to bring automation, speed and scale to cloud security, closed a $24m Series B funding.

The round, which brought total funding to date to $32.7m, was led by Sutter Hill Ventures, with participation from Liberty Global Ventures, Spike Ventures and the Web Investment Network (WIN), and AME Cloud Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth in global sales and marketing capabilities and adoption and deployment of its security solution.

Led by Stefan Dyckerhoff, President and CEO, Lacework provides a security solution which gives organizations access to automated, end-to-end security and compliance for public clouds to minimize security risks, detect threats and close compliance gaps.
The Lacework Cloud Security Platform uses machine learning to analyze the billions of events generated by modern clouds, baseline the normal behavior of each cloud deployment, and automate the detection and scoring of risks across the cloud’s multiple attack surfaces.
The company has more than 20 customers in production.
