AirTrunk, a Sydney, Australia-based specialist in hyperscale data centres, completed an AUD $850m financing.
The company intends to use the funds for major expansion of its Australian data centres in Sydney and Melbourne, and across key Asia-Pacific markets.
Deutsche Bank is the lead arranger, underwriter and sole bookrunner for the new senior secured debt facilities. AirTrunk founder and CEO, Robin Khuda, and shareholders, Goldman Sachs and TSSP, have also contributed new capital to support the expansion plans.
AirTrunk is a hyperscale data centre specialist creating a platform for cloud, content and large enterprise customers across the Asia-Pacific region. The company, which develops and operates data centre campuses with technology innovation and energy efficiency, opened its two Australian data centres last year – in Sydney in September and in Melbourne in November.
