AI Driven Biomedicine Startup GenomeUp Raises €200K

genomeupGenomeUp, a Rome, Italy-based AI driven biomedicine company, raised €200k in funding.

Backers included LVenture Group (LVEN.MI) and business angels from the Angel Partner Group.

The company will use the funds to continue development efforts.

Led by Simone Gardini, CEO, Andrea Spinelli, CTO, and Andrea Cocco, COO, GenomeUp develops a genomic tool which leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) to bring forward precision medicine to doctors supporting them in drawing the treatment which best fits their patients’ needs.
On the basis of patients’ genome, doctors will be able to obtain a detailed clinical report on genes affecting patients’ pathology, the gravity of the new mutations selected and the latest personalized treatments found mining information from PubMed, the world’s biggest biomedical database.
The university spin off company, which recently ended the LUISS EnLabs (LVenture Group)’s accelerator, has already partnered with Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù and Policlinico Tor Vergata of Rome.
