Accommodations Plus International, a Melville, New York-based provider of crew accommodations and logistics services to airline industry and other commercial travel clients, received an investment of undisclosed amount.
ClearPoint Investment Partners, a private equity firm investing in business services companies in the lower middle-market, made the investment in partnership with API’s founders and management team.
In conjunction with the funding, Carty Chock and Ingrid Mazul, co-founders and partners of ClearPoint have joined the API Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its technology suite of products and services, enter new markets, and execute its strategic priorities.
Founded in 1984 by Tony Kamel, Chairman, and led by Richard McLeer, Chief Executive Officer, Accommodations Plus International provides crew accommodations and logistics services to airline industry and other commercial travel clients. It offers a combination of crew accommodation services delivered through a technology platform, software solutions, and an experienced team of service professionals to more than 70 airline, cargo, and cruise clients.
Through its business intelligence software solutions and multi-disciplined team, the company aims to lower the total cost of accommodations and logistics to its clients, while providing a distribution channel to its network of over 100,000 hotels globally.
