PatSnap Secures $38M in Series D Funding

PatSnap, a London, UK-based provider of research and development (R&D) analytics, closed $38M in Series D funding.

The round, which brings total funding to date to over US$100, was led by Sequoia Capital and Shunwei Capital, with participation from Qualgro.

The company intends to use the funds to to invest further in R&D and continue to expand its operations globally.

Founded in 2007 by Jeffrey Tiong, CEO, PatSnap is a provider of research and development (R&D) analytics, for analyzing tech trends, driving innovation, market planning, competitor intelligence and maximizing return on IP assets. By combining millions of data points from patents, licensing, litigation, and company information with non-patent literature, PatSnap provides the world’s most innovative organisations with a new, intuitive source of information to accelerate their R&D.
