Online Travel Agency TourRadar Raises US$50M in Series C Funding

TourRadar, a Vienna, Austria-based online travel agency operating in the multi-day touring market, raised US$50m in Series C funding.

The round was led by TCV with participation from existing investors Cherry Ventures, Endeit Capital, Hoxton Ventures and Speedinvest. In connection with the funding, Erik Blachford, a venture partner at TCV and previously President and CEO of IAC Travel, has joined TourRadar’s supervisory board.

The company intends to use the funding to expand its team globally and invest in the technology platform to provide a personalized user experience for customers in new and existing source markets.

Founded in 2010 by brothers Travis and Shawn Pittman, both native Australians, TourRadar provides travelers of all ages seeking authentic experiences with access to multi-day tours and river cruising experiences from over 600 operators globally.
The company, which currently offers more than 25,000 tours in 200 countries on its platform.
TourRadar supports operator partners through instant bookability, tour review functionality and campaigns including World Touring Day.

It has service centers in Brisbane and Toronto.
