Mobile-Games Company Scopely Raises in $100M Additional Funding

Scopely, a Culver City, CA-based mobile-games company, raised additional $100M in Series C funding.

Backers included Revolution Growth, Greycroft Partners and Evolution Media.

The company, which has raised $160m in Series C funding including the first tranche raised last year more than $250m in total funding to date, intends to use the funds to make acquisitions and invest in game studios and intellectual property.

Led by Walter Driver, CEO and co-founder, Scopely is a touchscreen entertainment network, that creates genre-defining games for both casual and core gamers along with development partners.

The company, which has specific expertise in game design, live services, marketing, analytics, business development, advertising and more, operates an existing network with more than 165 million users.
