Cycle Tracking Bracelet Maker Ava Raises $30M in Series B Funding

Ava, a Zurich, Switzerland- and San Francisco, CA-based maker of a cycle tracking bracelet, raised $30m in Series B funding.

Backers included SVC and btov Partners.

The company intends to use the funds for further product research and development, enhancement of existing product and creation of new applications that empower women to take control of their reproductive health via data insights and science.

Founded in Switzerland in 2014 by Pascal Koenig and also led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Maureen Cronin, Ava provides a cycle-tracking sensor bracelet, which precisely detects the 5.3-day fertile window in a woman’s cycle in real time.
The company is now involved in investing in clinical trials with the University Hospital of Zurich under the direction of Prof. Brigitte Leeners to study applications of the Ava technology among women trying to get pregnant, suffering from fertility challenges, and to understand complications during pregnancy.
