Job Search Engine Adzuna Raises £8M in Series C Funding

Adzuna, a London, UK-based job search engine, raised £8m in Series C funding.

Smedvig Capital joined Index Ventures, Passion Capital, LocalGlobe and over 400 Crowdcube investors.

The round takes the total funding to £12m.

The company intends to use the funds to grow in the UK and internationally and invest in technology.

Founded in 2011 by Andrew Hunter and Doug Monro, Adzuna is a search engine for job ads used by over 10 million visitors per month. The engine searches thousands of websites bringing together millions of ads in one place. It also provides smart search options and data about the job market to give jobseekers the information they need to take control of their careers. The platform has over 5,000 sources of jobs, 7m registered users, millions of CVs. The company recently launched in the United States, including its innovative ValueMyResume tool.
In 2018, the company intends to expand its development and data science teams, including the recently-launched US market and international operations.

Alongside the fundraising, Adzuna has launched Find a job, which connects millions of jobseekers with thousands of employers online and through job centres around the UK.
