Zipjet Secures Seven-Figure Investment

Zipjet, a London, UK-based on-demand laundry and dry cleaning service, received a seven-figure investment as a part of an extended Series B round.

Backers included Henkel Ventures, BSH Home Appliances Group, and Amsterdam Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the funds for business and product development in its markets in London, Paris and Berlin, extending the startup’s data science team as well as increasing the marketing budget.

Founded by Florian Färber and Lorenzo Franzi in London in 2014, Zipjet is an on-demand laundry and dry cleaning service operating in London, Berlin and Paris.
Zipjet works by inviting its customers to order via its app or website. Customers can choose from a range of laundry and dry cleaning services, as well as convenient pickup and delivery slots. A driver will arrive at the specified address with two bags – one for dry cleaning garments, and another for wash and fold items. Once processed, customer’s garments are then delivered at the scheduled time. Garments can be cleaned, ironed, folded and delivered to customers in as little as 24 hours.
