Insurance Technologies Corporation (ITC), a Carrollton, Texas-based provider of websites, agency marketing, comparative rating and management software and services, received a majority investment from Accel-KKR.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Following the deal, Laird Rixford, formerly president of ITC, will serve as the company’s CEO. Scott Upfield, founder, will remain with the business.
The company will use the resources and capital to accelerate product innovation and expand its position in the insurance industry.
Founded in 1983, ITC provides websites, agency marketing, comparative rating and management software and services to the insurance industry, including independent agents and insurance carriers to grow their businesses. Currently, the company serves more than 200 insurance companies and more than 6,000 agencies.
