Cayuse to Acquire Information Technology Works

Cayuse, a Portland, Ore.-based provider of research administration software for universities, hospitals, and research organizations, acquired Information Technology Works (IT Works), a provider of grant management, grant accounting, grant financials, and effort certification software.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition enables Cayuse to provide customers with an open eRA solution that supports the full lifecycle of a research grant from pre-award to post-award including compliance.

Founded in 1994 and led by Matt McLellan, CEO, Cayuse provides a product suite that simplifies growing and preserving the research funding, rankings and reputations of universities, research hospitals, and research institutes.

Founded in 1987 and led by Jim Wrenn, President, IT Works provides solutions for grant and research management for administrators in colleges, universities, independent research institutes, and research hospitals. The company has installed over 345 Financial and Grant Management solutions in over 155 major universities and research hospitals globally.
