Virsec Closes $24M in Series B Funding

Virsec, a San Jose, Calif.-based cybersecurity company, closed a $24m Series B funding.

The round was led by BlueIO with participation from Artiman Ventures, Amity Ventures, Raj Singh, and Boston Seed Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product innovation and global expansion.

Led by Atiq Raza, CEO, Virsec has developed a technology platform to protect critical applications from the inside, protecting processes in memory and pinpointing attacks in real-time, within any application. Through its patented Trusted Execution™ technology, Virsec maps acceptable application execution, and instantly detects deviations caused by attacks.
The solution has been deployed and gone through extensive validation with early-adopter customers in critical infrastructure, defense, financial services, and healthcare.

The company has a portfolio of patents with more than 20 applications filed and 12 already granted.
