UpKeep Maintenance Management Secures $10M in Series A Funding

UpKeep Maintenance Management, a Los Angeles, CA-based group collaboration and maintenance application for facility management teams, secured $10M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Emergence Capital. As part of this raise, Kevin Spain, General Partner, Emergence Capital, will join UpKeep’s board.

The company will use the funds to scale its engineering and product development efforts, and to build an online community for maintenance and reliability leaders to share updates and news.

Founded by Ryan Chan, UpKeep provides deskless workers and their teams with a shared, automated solution providing real-time mobile and desktop visibility into maintenance jobs. It allows workers to snap a picture of equipment needing maintenance, create a work order, and send it to be processed — all from their mobile device. UpKeep also helps managers measure the cost of parts and labor, and the time it took to close out a project, giving businesses insight into maintenance expenditures.

The company, a Y Combinator Winter 2017 alumni, now serves more than 50,000 technicians across 1,000 businesses and counts Marriott, Jet.com, Unilever, McDonald’s and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections among its customers.
