Radiology Partners Receives Additional $234M Investment

Radiology Partners, an El Segundo, Calif.-based physician-led and physician-owned radiology practice, closed a $234m growth equity funding round.

The financing was led by existing investors New Enterprise Associates, Inc. (NEA) and Future Fund, with participation from RP physicians and support team leadership, including new board member, and former GE CEO, Jeffrey Immelt.

The company plans to use the funds to scale operations, investing in its evidence-based clinical programs and expanding in both existing and new markets.

Established in 2012 and led by Rich Whitney, Chairman and CEO, Radiology Partners uses a variety of evidence-based clinical programs to enhance value for its clients, payers and patients through development of innovative programs to advance improvements in clinical quality and optimize resource utilization.
The company currently serves approximately 500 hospitals and other healthcare facilities across the nation.
