Cubigo Raises $4.5M in Series A Funding

Cubigo, a Hasselt, Belgium-based developer of a platform for the senior living industry, raised $4.5m in Series A venture capital funding.

The round was led by Urbain Vandeurzen, with participation from Transvision.

The company intends to use the funds to introduce its platform to the senior living industry into the United States.

Led by Geert Houben, CEO, Cubigo provides a cloud-based personal platform to help staff, resident, and family solve issues in senior living. With Cubigo, seniors can order meals, request help from maintenance, or view their building’s activity calendar and sign-up for events. They can also send messages to the staff and read real-time community news.
On the back end, Cubigo integrates with software that is already being used by staff.

The company has signed a strategic partnership with Lyft, whose API will be integrated into the Cubigo platform. As a result, seniors will be able to easily schedule transportation, such as a trip to a doctor’s appointment or grocery store.

Cubigo has offices in San Francisco, Rotterdam, Brussels and Barcelona.
