Blockchain Capital Closes Fourth Venture Capital Fund, at $150m

Blockchain Capital, a San Francisco, CA-based venture capital firm focused exclusively on the blockchain technology sector and crypto ecosystem, closed its fourth fund, at $150m.

Blockchain Capital IV, LP, which brings total assets under management to $250m, was oversubscribed with institutional limited partners representing fund of funds, foundations, strategic investors and family offices.
The multi-stage fund, which invests in both equity and crypto assets, aims to back companies that leverage blockchain technology to develop new businesses, protocols, markets and assets.

Founded in 2013 and led by Bart Stephens and Brad Stephens, Co-Founders and Managing Partners, Spencer Bogart, just promoted Partner, and Jimmy Song, just promoted as a Venture Partner, Blockchain Capital has invested in 72 companies, protocols, and tokens, including Coinbase, Ripple, Circle, Ethereum, 0x and Kraken.
The firm has raised and deployed three prior venture funds, including the first ever ICO of a venture fund (BCAP) in April of 2017.
