Automox Secures $2M in Funding

Automox, a Boulder, CO-based global provider of patch management and endpoint protection solutions, raised $2.0m in funding.

The round was led by Blue Note Ventures with participation from Ron Gula of Gula Tech Adventures and former CEO of Tenable, Art Coviello, former executive chairman of RSA, Tim Belcher, former CTO of RSA, Mike Viscuso, co-founder of Carbon Black, Roger Thornton, CTO of AlienVault, and Tom Noonan, founder and former CEO of Internet Security Systems and JouleX security.

The company will use the funds to accelerate product development, marketing, and sales, and to expand its OEM program.

Led by Jay Prassl, founder and CEO, Automox provides companies with a cloud-based platform to gain more control and visibility into their client and server infrastructures, which are multi-OS (Window, Mac, and Linux), geographically-dispersed, and running a broad array of corporate and third party software. Having real-time access to the configuration and patch status of every endpoint, along with the ability to automate patch execution and policy enforcement, IT managers and system administrators can reduce vulnerabilities and meet and maintain their corporate security standards.

Customers include consumer brands like Dollar Shave Club, Hootsuite, Quicken, and Gaia, as well as healthcare and technology providers such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, Dizzion, and NTT Data Services.
