Lean Media Closes $500K in Seed Funding

Lean Media, a Cheterfield, MO-based audience-first programmatic media company serving the agriculture industry and businesses targeting rural audiences, closed $500K in seed funding.

Backers included The Yield Lab (as the lead investor), Prosper Startup Accelerator, The St. Louis Arch Angels, a private investor from the agriculture and media industries, and Missouri Technology Corporation.

The company intends to use the funds to make additional hires for additional roles in software engineering, data science, and ad tech teams and develop software that will strengthen its market position.

Led by co-founders Beth Handrigan, CEO, and Matt Jeter, Lean Media provides agribusiness and rural community online advertisers with a platform which uses advanced data analytics and proprietary programmatic media buying methods to deliver cross-device ads with high frequency, precision and control.
