Hatch Apps Raises $1.3M in Angel Funding

Hatch Apps, a Washington, DC-based company automating software development to build apps, raised $1.3m in angel funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the capital to scale its engineering and infrastructure teams, and to launch growth initiatives.

Founded in 2015 by Param Jaggi and Amelia Friedman, Hatch Apps enables organizations to launch their own native iOS, Android and web apps, access a management system to modify content and functionalities, send push notifications, make updates and more. In addition to automating the app creation process, the solution automates all back end processes for their customers, such as server storage, data management, debugging, updates and analytics.

The Y Combinator Fellowship company has a team of 23 people.
