Data Nerds, a Kelowna, B.C. Canada-based developer of data products, raised $3m in Series A funding.
Backers included Foundry Group, Next Big Ventures, V1.vc, and Techstars Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to hire software engineers, data scientists and digital marketers and finalize its rebrand of data API and property report products under the new name, Estated.
Founded in 2014 and led by Joshua Fraser, CEO, and Evan McIntosh, CTO, Data Nerds is focused on aggregating, digitizing, and standardizing property data and presenting it to consumers through their API and intuitive line of products.
The company is now developing, Estated Data, its new API product, which will enable developers, programmers and data scientists to enrich their existing applications with a full suite of diverse property data points. The API aims to provide solutions across all relevant industries, servicing companies in real estate technology, energy, home services, mortgage lending, marketing and more.
