Woo, a Tel Aviv, Israel- and San Francisco, CA-based marketplace that connects employers and passive job seekers, raised $7m in Series A funding.
The round, which brings total funding raised to date to $11.4m, was led by David Alliance, with participation from current backers.
The company is using the funds to grow operations, its development and U.S. expansion efforts.
Founded in 2015 by Liran Kotzer and Ami Dudu, Woo is a marketplace for matching tech talent and companies sparing both sides the hassle of finding each other. To this end, the company has launched Helena, a 2-sided, AI-powered agent/headhunter who does the work.
As an agent, Helena enables tech professionals to discreetly and passively get job opportunities from companies that meet their personal wish list. Once the candidates show interest, Helena represents them to the company and makes sure they respond as quickly as possible.
