SymphonyCare, LLC, a Madison, WI-based population health and patient engagement solutions company, acquired the Empower patient portal business unit from Birmingham, AL-based Influence Health.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The deal was led by SymphonyAlpha Ventures, the venture capital arm of Symphony Corporation.
Led by Ravi Kalla, founder and CEO, SymphonyCare is a provider of population health and patient engagement solutions, combining digital health tools and a variety of support services aimed at improving health outcomes and reducing costs.
Influence Health’s Empower patient engagement product currently reaches more than a half a million patients monthly, who see over 8,200 providers at more than 1,900 healthcare provider locations in North America.
SymphonyCare plans to integrate Empower into its existing Navigate product line, which allows healthcare providers to stratify, manage and better engage patients who have multiple chronic diseases.
Empower will also provide patients innovative solutions such as telemedicine and medication management applications.
