Chauffeur Privé Receives Majority Investment from Daimler

Chauffeur Privé, a Paris, France-based private hire vehicle service, received a majority investment from Daimler

The amount of the deal – which is still subject to regulatory approval – was not disclosed. Daimler Mobility Services will now control an over 50% stake in the company, with the intention to fully acquire Chauffeur Privé by 2019.

The investment represents another international expansion step for Daimler Mobility Services, which now has an operational presence in 15 European markets. It also has participation stakes in Blacklane, Careem, FlixBus, Turo and Via.

Founded in 2011 by Yan Hascoet, CEO, Chauffeur Privé provides a private hire vehicle service in Paris, Lyon and at the Côte d’Azur with more than 1.5 million customers and 18,000 drivers.
