Canvas Technology, a Boulder, CO-based robotics company building autonomous technology for industrial applications, raised $15M in Series A financing.
The round was led by Playground Global with participation from previous investors Xplorer Capital, AME Cloud Ventures and Morado Ventures.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations and develop its solutions.
Canvas Technology is a robotics company advancing end-to-end autonomous transport of goods that can power both indoor and outdoor driving. The company has built an autonomous system for efficient movement of mobile vehicles in factories and warehouses, which includes proprietary 3D sensors and a software package that can be utilized on mobile hardware including the Canvas Autonomous Cart.
The system utilizes computer vision to continuously map its environment, plan the best navigation path and intelligently work with people and other mobile equipment.
