Bookimed Raises $500K in Funding

Bookimed, a Kiev, Ukraine-based independent search service for medical solutions around the world, raised $500k in funding.

AVentures Capital made the investment.

Founded in 2013 by Eevgeniy Kozlov, Bookimed connects patients and clinics globally with the goal of providing tailored medical solution via a platform and a team of 70 people, which includes 32 doctors.
The company primarily helps patients with serious issues in the areas of oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pediatrics. It currently organizes diagnostics, treatment, rehabilitation and aesthetic procedures in 260 clinics from 26 countries.

Bookimed intends to use the funds to continue to expand globally beyond the CIS market, to strengthen the current R&D team, to upgrade the platform to provide tailored recommendations for patients while taking into account the specifics of their health issues, to recommended treatment methods, and service options at the receiving clinics where it sends patients.
