Root Ventures, a San Francisco, CA-based venture capital firm, is seeking to raise $75m for its second fund.
Per an SEC filing, Root Ventures II, L.P. has not raised funds, yet.
Led by Avidian Ross and Kane Hsieh, Root Ventures invests in hardware, development tools, and data science.
The firm’s portfolio includes ApolloShield, Cape, Cloudastructure, Daily, Instrumental, Mashgin, Mimeo, Momentum, Nautilus, Nordsense, Ntopology, Particle, Plethora, Prynt, Righthook, Shaper, Skycatch, Superflex, Tortuga and Xstream. Exits include Preact, SeeControl and Wallaby.
Root Ventures’ team also includes Chrissy Meyer, Venture Partner, Cormac Eubanks, Entrepreneur in Residence, Laelah Reino, Operations Manager.
