Netlift Raises $3.2M in Funding

Netlift, a Montréal, Canada-based planned transportation app, secured $3.2m in additional funding.

Backers included The Government of Québec, via its financing arm Investissement Québec, along with the Fonds InnovExport, Real Ventures, and existing shareholders BDC Capital, Cycle Capital Management and SDTC.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate full-scale commercialization of its mobile solution for planned transportation. Montréal will be the first city in which the new business model will be rolled out.

Founded in Montréal in 2012, Netlift provides a transportation application incorporating carpooling and taxi travel. Accessible on the Web and on smartphones, the app matches passengers with drivers willing to share available seats in their vehicle at a low cost per trip, to commute to work or simply to get around.
