Medigate Raises $5.35M in Seed Funding

Medigate, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup which aims to secure the use of the millions of connected medical devices on healthcare provider networks, raised $5.35m in seed funding.

The round was led by YL Ventures (led by managing partner Yoav Leitersdorf) with additional funding from Blumberg Capital.

The company will use the funds to continue to accelerate its development efforts.

Led by Jonathan Langer, CEO and co-founder, Itay Kirshenbaum, co-founder & VP R&D, and Pini Pinhasov, co-founder & VP Product, Medigate provides a technology platform which lets CISOs and security teams to defend networked medical devices from cyberattacks. In details, the company offers a dedicated solution for securing networked medical devices that are connected to electronic medical records, device servers, other enterprise systems and the internet.
Medigate can provide visibility into all the medical devices connected to the network, identify these devices by type and personality and analyze and understand their specialized protocols, communications and behaviors.

The Medigate Security Platform is currently in limited availability to qualified customers. General availability will be in mid-2018.
