LightStep Raises $29M in Funding

LightStep, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an enterprise class Application Performance Management (APM) platform, raised $29m in funding.

This incudes:
– a Series A round of $7.5m led by Redpoint;
– a Series B round of $20m led by Sequoia.
Seed investors Cowboy Ventures and Harrison Metal participated in both rounds.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development.

Led by Ben Sigelman, co-founder and CEO, LightStep has just emerged from stealth and introduced its first product, LightStep [x]PM, an Application Performance Management (APM) platform for enterprises like Twilio, Lyft, Yext, GitHub and DigitalOcean.
It provides a detailed snapshot of the entire software system at any point in time, enabling organizations to identify bottlenecks and resolve incidents rapidly.
