greenRush.com Closes $3.6M in Series A Funding

greenRush.com, a San Francisco Bay Area-based online marketplace for legally purchasing cannabis, raised $3.6m in Series A funding.

Backers included James Weil, President of JMM Industries, and Chris Burggraeve, former Anheuser-Busch InBev Global Chief Marketing Officer. James Weil will be joining the greenRush.com’s Board of Directors and Chris Burggraeve will be joining the Advisory Board.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its current recreational and medical marijuana services in California, Nevada, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois and more.

Led by Chief Executive Officer Paul Warshaw and Vice President of Business Development and Rachel Shipp, greenRush.com offers an online cannabis marketplace, with hundreds of dispensary partners and tens of thousands of cannabis products available for delivery and express pick-up. For dispensaries, it provides customer relationship management and customer acquisition services along with serving as the premier e-commerce and retail technology platform in the Cannabis industry.
The company currently operates throughout California and Nevada, with plans to expand to Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, and many other states with legal cannabis laws.
