CY Vision, a San Jose, CA-based vision systems and applications company, closed a $7m Series A funding.
The round was led by Vestel Ventures, with participation from Intel Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to develop its technology.
Co-founded by Hakan Urey Ph.D., from Koc University, Istanbul, and Orkun Oguz, CEO, CY Vision provides patent-protected computational holographic display technology that enables the use of holography for a wide spectrum of display solutions powering next generation AR and VR headsets.
The company’s solutions aim to generate the same information to the human eyes as a natural 3D scene would generate with all the visual depth cues, as well as enable design and long-term viewing experience.
