Affinio Inc., an Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada-based interest analytics platform, raised $9m in series B funding.
The round was led by Round13 Capital, Whitecap Venture Partners, and Build Ventures.
The company, which has raised nearly $14m in funding to date, intends to use the funds to accelerate global expansion, hire key executives, and expedite consumer data integrations.
Led by CEO and Co-Founder Tim Burke, Affinio provides an interest analytics Platform that enables marketers to connect with people using rich interest and affinity data. Using machine learning and graph engine, the platform analyzes and visualizes massive consumer data sets to uncover naturally-forming interest segments within any audience to allow marketers to uncover new audiences, inform their content strategy, and better connect with consumers by identifying their interests and affinities.
Affinio is used by customers worldwide including BBC Worldwide, Unilever, and Lionsgate.
