Vlipsy Raises $1.3M in Seed Funding

Vlipsy, a Canton, OH-based video clip search engine startup, raised $1.3m in seed funding.

Backers included JumpStart Inc., North Coast Angel Fund, Impact Angel Fund and Cox Enterprises.

Co-founded in 2017 by CEO Chris Nickless and Matt Tew, Vlipsy allows users to find, create and share sound-enabled clips from their favorite internet videos.
The company has also announced mobile apps for both iMessage and Android, enabling sharing to WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook, Messenger and Twitter and downloading for sharing to Instagram and Snapchat.
The platform’s API for developers enables third-party integration for partners such as Skype and Viber.

The company just gratuated from Techstars Atlanta, Ohio.
