VeriCite Raises Investment from Ray Henderson

VeriCite, Inc., an Indianapolis-based plagiarism detection service, received an investment from ed-tech industry veteran Ray Henderson.

Henderson also joined VeriCite’s board of directors.

Led by CEO Valerie Schreiner, VeriCite provides a cloud-based tool for assessing originality that enables educators to turn conversations about academic integrity into positive teaching moments.
The platform can be integrated with all mainstream learning management systems.

Earlier in his career, Henderson helped conceive and launch several of the most recognized product categories in the industry, including companion websites for textbooks (Pearson Inc., PSO) and learning management systems (eCollege, ANGEL Learning, Blackboard).
He worked to establish open industry standards for content and technology interoperability through IMS Global.
Through advisory boutique Lessons Learned Ventures, LLC, he is helping launch and develop edtech companies Lumen Learning, Inc.; HelioCampus, Inc.; Metametrics, Inc.; and VeriCite, Inc.
