PrestoFood.it Raises €150k in Seed Funding

PrestoFood.it, a Catania-based food delivery platform operating in the South of Italy, raised €150k in seed funding.

An unnamed business angel working in a leading logistics player made the investment with the advisorship of PrestoFood.it’s shareholder Comunicatica Srls, which aims to consolidate its presence in the Italian foodtech scene.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its business reach.

Founded by CEO Guido Consoli, PrestoFood.it is one of largest food delivery startups in the South of Italy, both in terms of revenue and size being aready present in Catania, Palermo, Reggio Calabria and soon Messina, with plans to grow in Puglia and Sardinia.
The company, which aims to close 2017 with a turnover of over €1m, already handles orders via a digital logistic system.

Led by serial entrepreneur Jacopo Paoletti, Comunicatica has already invested in food delivery startup Moovenda. It also provides food delivery software (via Syncronika), mobile enabling services in the food sector (via Creact), and AI-driven customer service management solutions (via Userbot).
