Pollen Metrology Raises $2.4M in First Funding Round

Pollen Metrology, a Grenoble, France-based smart process-control software company, raised $2.4m in its first round of funding.

Backers included XAnge and Kreaxi, as well as private and public funds.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the manufacturing of high-performing materials.

Founded in 2014 by CEO Johann Foucher, Pollen Metrology is a smart process-control software company focused on accelerating the manufacturing of high-performing materials for Industry 4.0. The company now aims to accelerate the roadmap of its software, PLATYPUSTM, and add new capabilities for different high-performing materials applications in industries such as semiconductor, energy, powder metallurgy, and pharmaceutical.
PLATYPUSTM aims to improve manufacturing yields, reduce research and development (R&D) costs, hasten the development of new processes, and track defects from the early R&D stages to high-volume manufacturing.
