AIT Worldwide Logistics, a global leader in air and sea freight, ground distribution, warehouse management and custom supply chain solutions, received an investment from middle market private equity firm Quad-C Management.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Quad-C is partnering with AIT’s executive management team, who are maintaining significant ownership in the company, which intends to use the proceeds to grow both organically and through acquisitions.
Founded in 1979 and led by Vaughn Moore, President and CEO, AIT Worldwide is a full-service transportation management provider which enables companies to respond to global opportunities, connecting with new suppliers and customers, and shipping solutions that aim to take the complexity out of doing business globally.
The company operates more than 50 offices worldwide including continental headquarters in Chicago, Amsterdam and Hong Kong, employing nearly 1,000 dedicated logistics professionals.
