Zoom.ai, a Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based artificial intelligence driven automated work assistant, acquired SimplyInsight, an automated data analysis and visualization startup.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
SimplyInsight’s natural language querying technology engine allows employees to request, analyze and visualize internal business data to capitalize on hidden trends and improve organizational productivity. With the acquisition, Zoom.ai will integrate SimplyInsight’s data-querying technology with its automated work assistant. SimplyInsight founders Amanda Parker and Alexey Adamsky have joined the Zoom.ai team as part of the acquisition. Parker will be leading business development as VP Business Development & Partnerships, while Adamsky will join as Senior AI Scientist.
Founded in 2016 and led by Roy Pereira, CEO, Zoom.ai uses AI to give everyone in the company their own automated assistant so that they can focus on their job duties. Its productivity solution can handle tasks such as meeting scheduling, meeting preparedness, introductions to people employees want to meet, travel logistics.
